With a 12% tongue weight you can get close to 4400# for a trailer.

I would guess that many 1/2 ton trucks are loaded over their GVWR.
Mine is at the limit or slightly above.

You should at least stay below you rear GAWR.

Other than that looks like you pretty much got it figured correctly.

The trim level of your truck and the 4 wheel drive are all exacting a weight penalty from your basic truck GVWR figure. The 3.55 rear end is hurting the tow rating.

We have the 287BHBE. I tow mine with a 2013 Toyota Tundra using a WDH. Gas mileage sucks but tows like a champ. Then again , if I ever come across a space shuttle along the road, I'm confident I can tow that too.

This was our 1st trailer and really had no idea what we needed. We love the shower in this model, but are looking to upgrade at some point to a toy hauler TT. It will make it easier for us to transport our kayaks.
