How's this thing work

I guess this is the fuse that protects the battery.

I'm thinking it's the fuse for the power jack.

No power jack on my jayflight........................it's an ultra light, so does not take much to jack it up and down

That is what the master fuse holder looks like on my Hummingbird.
It holds a small blade type fuse. Just carefully pull the top off.

Yup, been a lot of miles with no problem. I've had other issues but the fuse location has been OK.

Actually it makes it easier to help people find it.

The wire between the battery and the converter, flows power both directions, hence it needs a fuse on both ends.

If the wire was damaged either when connected to shore power or while boondocking the fuse at the flowing end of the power source should pop and protect the circuit.

Pull the fuse and see if your lights and other 12 volt stuff work inside. Betting it’s the 12 volts inside.
