Humming noise like pump running in bedroom closet 2018 Jay Flight 265rls

Have a humming noise running all the time like a pump in bedroom closet (right side) next to bed, can't sleep. Have looked everywhere can't find source. Have a 2018 Jay Flight SLX 265rls. Any help would be appreciated.

More likely an inverter running. Is yours under your bed?

Thank for your reply. Off. It sounds like a pump running if I put anything on the bottom shelf it carries through it. Not happening in the other closet, and cannot hear it in the under storage area???

Find the inverter and the converter, they both have fans that run when heat is generated. Start eliminating sources.

I knew a guy who used a stethoscope to find stuff. Many mechanics use them to find strange noises in a auto. I saw one at Harbor Freight I recall once.

I am not familiar with your model trailer but as Steve said many RVs have two pump switches. The second one will be in the outside wet bay and probably got turned on in error. Check it, would bet money that's your problem. The second switch is to assist in winterizing when pumping antifreeze.

If you unplug from shore power and just run on battery, can you still hear it?
That, at least, would let you eliminate the "high voltage" side of things, and might point to the converter cooling fan, as others have noted. (However, converters are usually somewhere more accessible than under the bed...)

If you switch off everything on the 12v side, the fan should stop. (though there might be a delay)

If it's a water pump, it shouldn't be running all the time, unless it's faulty, or there's a leak. Try turning the pump on, and running some water in the sink...
Same sound? Different sound? If it's different, you can eliminate the water pump from your enquiries.

Have you tried pulling fuses, one at a time, to narrow down the search?

Please, please follow up, once you've found it, and let us know what it was :-)

First, locate the converter as it has a fan that runs often.

My 245RLS has the converter under the stove.

My water pump is under the kitchen sink.

That will eliminate two noise generators to start.

While on shore power, water heater may whine while heating water.
