Hummingbird fresh water fill?

Hummingbird owners,
Does anyone know if the fresh water fill opening has a part that extend kilt and up to make the filling easier? When I remove the cap, the next part wiggles around like it should come loose. Feeling inside the spout there is a lip, like the outermost part is a sleeve, which leads me to believe that it should extend. But, no amount of twisting or jiggling gets it out. I thought I should ask, before I give up or break something.
Thanks in advance.

We bought an adaptor it has a clear hose that goes into the fresh water fill. It screws onto the outside then your hose screws onto it. We bought ours at Camping World. Makes it more sanitary and easier to fill. Hope that helps.

Just a question does the shower curtain in the wet bath keep things on the door dry . We haven't taken ours home yet it's getting the lights changed out on a recall. We also are having a fantastic fan installed in the kitchen area. Really excited to pick it up Friday

Question about shower curtain

In our experience, if you're careful, yes. The door and wall on the other side of the curtail remain dry.

Thanks for the link

01 tundra - thanks for the link and Angeleyes0001a, thanks for the initial reference. Like many of the things I read about on these forums didn't know this existed. I will get one, for sure, for the time we can use a hose. But, the reason I was asking is that several of the places we camp do not allow hoses to be connected to the community hydrant faucets. So we have to haul water in 5 gal containers and pour the water in manually, like our pioneer forefathers and voters used to do

We have a funnel, but we need something more curved upwards to make the pour easier. It just seemed like the fill opening might pull out and angle up, but so far, no such luck.

Well I'm not sure the filler I told you about will help with that problem. But it helps where you can hook up for your stay. Wonder if the dumping station at most parks has a fill up in that area? Especially the ones where you can't hook up for your stay. We had the same situation dry camping at Lake Meade in Las Vegas. We used the hose just long enough to fill up then unhooked it. We had one of our kids stay at the faucet to unhook it in case someone needed it. No one said anything, because it only takes a few minutes.

I have two 5-gallon water bags to fill with also, but haven't really thought about a funnel since they have pour spouts. I figured I'd just get some tygon tubing to slip over the pour spout.

Another option is a small transfer pump, I have the one linked below and it works well with my 5-gallon rigid water carrier.
