Is there a reason you held your speed to 65 mph? Are your tires speed rated at 65 mph? What tires does your trailer have on it?

It's a comfortable speed for us. Tires are Maxxis M8008's so max speed is a little gray area. I keep them at 60 psig so I keep my speed limited to 65 MPH unless passing a slower vehicle in the left lane.

No offense, but with that truck you deserve to be towing a much bigger trailer with more room. I’d love to have your truck with my trailer.

Our trailer fits our needs and has served us well for over two years now. We’re rarely in our trailer other than to sleep. We go camping to be outdoors hiking, fishing, exploring. Plus we enjoy state parks so having a smaller camper let’s us camp wherever we want. Having a larger trailer would gain us nothing.....other than an unwanted monthly payment

We are in the same situation as 01tundra. We are only in the camper if it is raining or we are sleeping. We primarily stay at state parks for the same reasons. Our last camper was larger than this one, but it is just not needed for our purpose.

Hey, if it works it works👍.
My wife and I almost exclusively stay at state parks too. We are both 56 and join our neighbors on trips from time to time along with the occasional grand child. Getting into some camp stalls is sometimes challenging but so far, so good. The Wife likes to entertain both inside and out, so this size works for us.

It is better to be safe. I was just curious, because my 2017 Hummingbird RK came with Goodyear Endurance tires. Max of 65 psi, load range D, and a speed rating of N (87mph).

For the past two years we've had one of those white plastic Camco silverware organizers in our top drawer and every time we open the drawer silverware flies everywhere.
So I decided to put some taller dividers in to help eliminate that problem. I bought a piece of 1/4" Maple plywood from Lowe's and hacked this together in about an hour.
It's not pretty....but it should work well for us. I made it where it's easy to remove in case we ever decide to.
in case anyone's wondering, the big notch in the back of the drawer is so the larger drain trap on our new kitchen sink would clear.

I think it's much prettier than white plastic and will work better too. A WIN WIN!

have you tried to install this? do you pop off the existing 'cap' or just snap the new deflector onto the unit?

No it involves cutting the metal collar off the back of the new deflector. The factory plastic round deflector pops out of the grille. I then used two small bolts to attach the new deflector to the factory plastic grille.

Finally fed up with this goofy boat anchor of a folding table that Jayco sent with our trailer.
Decide to ditch the folding dinette table and the 2'x4' folding plastic table for something a little cleaner. We still need to be able to use the dinette as a bed.
Used 3/4" Birch plywood for the filler panel and 1"x2" Oak with 2" pocket screws for the support rails. Reused three of the upholstery button screws to retain the filler panel during travel.
Found a folding table tray that will fit where the plastic 2'x4' table is stored and it will double as a dinette table and an outdoor table.
You can't tell that the filler panel is stored under the main cushion and best of all we can now open the bathroom door while the slide is all the way in. Still need to stain the rails a little darker, but we picked up a lot of space with this mod.

Looks great! Don't know why they had to make that table so heavy.

Have you ever considered adding a different set of steps? I was looking at "The Step Above" made by MORryde. Not sure if they make them for these units.

No I have not, ours have been working well so far. Since we have the Baja edition we have two steps.
The MORryde have got to be solid being supported from the ground, if ours ever failed I'd probably look into them a little more.

Got the support rails a little darker, Red Oak doesn't seem to like to take dark stain. Looks a little better though.
I wish I could figure out what stain color Jayco uses, I've tried just about everything available from Minwax off the shelf and never can really make a great match........

I called JayCo last year asking for my stain color. They told me the color but didn't have the company name. I searched the stain color extensively on the web but never did find the company that made the stain. You would think something like that would be easy to track down but JayCo wants to keep everything secret. Somebody there has the answer.

I wish we had two steps, but ours only has one. I have to put a box on the ground for our 14 yr old Beagle to get in the camper, because the single step is just too much for him. After reading a little more info about those steps I don't think they would work on our campers. The door has to open all the way for those steps, and our tire fender does not allow for that.
