Hummingbird Noise

I have a Hummingbird and use the bench and table area as a bed. The problem I am having is that when using the bed, any small movement causes creaking noises in the wooden structure. I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same problem, and if so, have they come up with a fix? Thanks for any information you might share, I sure the problem is not limited to just the Hummingbird.

As with anything wood that creaks you have to track it down to specific joints.

Odds are there are just a couple of staples holding the whole thing together. A few wood screws, maybe some reinforcement 2 x 2s and/or glue would probably solve it.

If I’m not mistaken “Formby’s Furniture refinishing Products” has an oil that you can apply to the joint or frame to fix that squeak. My dad would apply it with a Qtip on rocking chairs that he repaired in his shop in Rochester, NY.

Thanks for the tips I will do a little reinforcement as well as look for the Formby product. Other people must be experiencing the same issue.
