Red face I am Considering Selling

2006 Jayco Jay Flight 31BHDS – In service since 2007

• Been permanently parked since purchased

• Interior is in perfect working condition and cosmetically attractive

• Exterior sides shine better than brand new as they have been washed and Turtle Waxed every year.

• Appears that the roof was built/covered with a fabric backed TPO rubber membrane that “wicked” - as there is one low roof corner spot above the main bedroom, and a few other random soft or “crunchy” spots closer to the edges – but those have no indentations.

• The original awning has pin holes.

• I was wondering what anyone might think would be a fair selling price at this time?

Try http://www.nadaguides.com/RVs and start there. You can also look at listings on RVtrader.com.

FWIW I got a 06 27BH that had the booth removed and jack knife couch removed but otherwise good working condition with good tires, but no propane tanks, awning has a rip, no battery and needed cleaning, I paid $4800. I've seen better deals (missed them) but wife wanted to go camping and I was tired to looking at trashed ones - this was about the 9th I had traveled to and checked out. If the roof is good shape and no leaks everything works, that's huge. Don't mention pinholes on awning a dab of sealer and that's done, its not new what do they expect?

Being that you have previously started two threads about your roof leak and the roof decking being "crunchy" it appears you have a serious roof issue. You also mentioned in one post an RV repair business quoted $5k to replace your roof.

Considering all that, and that NADAs always optimistic value, puts you trailer at ~$9k, I think you would be doing very good to get $5000 selling it private party.

Additionally I would really hope that you would disclose the suspected roof issues to any prospective buyer.

Tires brakes and drums will need replacing along with wheel bearing service.. Nothing is harder on an RV running gear than sitting unused..

That "hope" would make for an interesting thread.
