Our 27 DSRL has 3 steps into the living area but only 2 into the bedroom. If leveling requires raising the side where the stairs are the two into the bedroom get too high for my bad hip. I'd like 3 stairs into the bedroom the same as the Living Room.

If it were possible, totally rearrange the back 1/3:
- Lose the couch we don't use.
- Rotate the dinette so it runs across the back of the TT giving more room between us and the table.
- Shorten the TT by about a foot.

My biggest irritation so far with the 16xrb is the locks are not keyed alike.. i have

1 - key for the door
1 - key for the bunk ends
1 - key for the outside shower
1 - key for the storage

Then a key for my trailer lock, and another for my propane tank lock....

When my warranty is up i will likely re key as many of them as possible to the same, cant wait for that day.

They are a nice addition but don't help when use realize the pump is off when in the shower.

Minimum two batteries in motorhomes (trailers also). Option for two recliners to replace jack-knife sofa.

Opps! Just thought of one more thing

I would get powered fans in both the bedroom and living room. My trailer has the flat frame-less windows, which I generally like. However, they do not open as far as the old style windows and do not allow as good of air circulation.

Not sure I'm a big fan of those frameless windows, they seem to break easy. The little plastic things inside. I have looked at new units and seems like someone broke atleast one of the windows or it had come out of it track. Mine has the double pane sliding windows that I can open all the way. Only draw back is when it rains, I cant open any windows. Sometimes the one under the awning, but if storm gets bad I bring that in also. I felt my old style mechanical awning was allot more sturdy.

A remote blade valve operator for the grey water tank would have been nice so I don't have to get down on one knee to reach under the trailer to access the valve when at the dump station. What were they thinking??? I suppose I could install one myself.

I don't like the design of the recliners in our 2016 27RLS. You have to pull the chair out three feet from the wall to recline. As far as the frameless windows, there are likes and dislikes with them. I also wish that the spare tire was stored under the trailer.

This has been a fun thread

I thought of one more too - I wish they would leave just an inch on either side of the top of the bed so you could make up the covers without having to stuff them in the top.

The only compromise on our TT was the corner bed...a pita to make up, but we knew that going in. The mattress is getting an upgrade this spring to a memory foam one. It's not that there were things we didn't like about the model, just a few things we could add to make things more convenient, like coat hooks, valves on the FW tank over flow tubes, and adding more stove/grill mounting rail to the side for a table. We love our little TT, and plan to keep her for a long while.

After almost 5 years with a popup, and then 2 years with our X23B, I think we would buy a Lance 2185, as that is the only floorplan I can find that gives us enough beds inside and still fits in our weight and length requirements... The X254 was close, but we could never find one to look at.

Like to see those pictures too. Inverted sounds pretty weird. Having my hitch ball pointing down and jacking the trailer up onto the ball would be interesting...

I think we are referring to Jayco's sometimes use of underslung couplers which are mounted low on the frame rails, I've seen them called inverted (but that is a misnomer because they are not upside down). I have owned a standard (above the frame rails) and flush mount (same height as the frame rails) on my two Jaycos but have seen the underslung on the larger units. For a tall frame it probably helps with hitching height, but it really messes up some brands of WDH.

The one thing I would change on my 29BHS is the lack of 12VDC power outlets, an issue not unique to my rig I'm sure. I would want 1 on each side of the bed, 1 in the kitchen, 1 near the table (down low, the 1 included one being behind the TV), and 1 or 2 in the bunkhouse area for fans and chargers. The lack of 12VDC outlets in TTs always bugged me. They are meant to be self sufficient on 12VDC, why not give us more outlets to power 12VDC chargers and accessories so we don't have to resort to inverters? I plan on adding outlets in all these locations, but it would be nice to have them from the start.

Technically it's a second item, but I would also give the bottom bunk their own light, which would be easy with an outlet on the bottom bunk.
