I'm Impressed

We have a leaky kitchen faucet. We are 400 miles from our Jayco dealer. I called the Jayco Factory cust. serv. today & explained our situation. Jayco couldn't be nicer and they are sending a new faucet to the rv park where we are staying. I will install the new faucet when it arrives.

That's Jayco for ya. Glad to hear they took care of you. Wonder if other manufacturers would take care of you that fast.

Nice! I had a similar situation with my flame sensor in my water heater. It is like a $30 part. I said look - I have to drive all the way there and you have to take all that tech time, can you just send me the part and I will install it. They said sure and I had it 2 days later.

Well my impression of Jayco is this --- could they do better with some of their quality control? Absolutely....Do they stand behind the product and fix problems within the warranty period? Absolutely.

There are some folks here that have had some issues with Jayco. My impression in most, but not all cases, is it is a disagreement as to what the customer thinks should be fixed and what Jayco believes is a problem. Not saying either side is right or wrong, they are just not agreeing.

As in dealing with most companies, logically explaining the problem without emotion and then telling them how you would like it resolved are key. I know I have often been frustrated dealing with problems, and sometimes it is really hard not to blow up!

Not saying Jayco is perfect by any means. There are examples here that I have disagreed with as well, but I think overall they do a pretty good job taking care of their customers.

I totally agree with you tafische. And I'm extremely happy with my dealings with Jayco & very happy with our trailer. I know that every new RV has a few bugs that need to be dealt with. It's just part of owning an RV. I just wish the Service Dept. at our dealership was more thorough.

Just released - Jayco quality audit video.

I sure would like to have that forklift contraption to jockey my trailer around!

I just got a call from my local dealer. Took my rig in Monday for a list of warranty items. Got a call on Friday and all items were addressed. Pick it up tomorrow.

Great that you contacted Jayco direct so they could get you set up with the warranty stuff local to you. So many members expressed dissatisfaction with having to go far away to a dealer for work, but that's not the case. We have been happy with Jayco authorizing us to get work done locally

Where did you buy your Jayco trailer? I got mine at Richardson Rv in Sun City and they have been great to deal with. Mine was used, an 08 JayFlight G2 It was missing a shade at dinner table and they installed one, on our first trip I noticed that the right sink was leaking where the strainer meets the sink and they tightened that up for me when they installed the shade. And since mine was 2 years old it didn't have a warranty, but when I took delivery they explained everything too me ( this is our first tt) so I knew nothing. Now after our first outing we are looking forward to the next one. Right now we are booked August 29, 30 & 31st at Pechanga, a friend has been there before and said it was real nice. We will see. Any one care to join us??

We also bought ours at the same place you did. The sales dept. is great.

While I was visiting with a friend in San Marcos, I called Richardson's in Riverside to verify the 330RLTS they showed being in stock online was still there (I wanted to show my friend the kind of trailer I'm planning on buying). The guy I was talking to was unable to determine that he had it in stock without actually going out and looking. When we got there, the salesman that approached us couldn't find it in his paperwork, then disappeared for about 10-15 before he could show us where it was at. I was not impressed.

If there is a next time try the Menifee dealership, ask for Sarah McGuire.

There won't be a next time since this was a onetime thing anyway (I would prefer to buy in AZ from a dealer closer to where I am now anyway). Pity they didn't have the 330RLTS in Menifee; it would have been closer. Even closer than Menifee would have been Temecula. Oh, well.

It makes sense to buy close to home. You will have better service.
The dealer in Menifee's service dept. isn't the greatest.
Have a blessed day.

Can't remember, did you get to do a walkthrough on one of those already? Have you gotten your quote from RVDirect yet? Sounds like you're ready to buy now.

I've been through and taken measurements and pictures of one at Affinity RV in Prescott. I still need to find out how much weight the living room slides can handle and I'm still working on clearing out a lifetime of accumulated "stuff" before I can pull the trigger.
