Yep, this is precisely the reason I'm adding the same valves. I probably lost / wasted close to 200 gallons of water last season. Not this year
They will be open most of the time, but having the ability to close them when needed will make camping off grid a lot less stressful at times. I don't know if it's some kind of siphon effect, or what, but I've seen half my tank drain out of those 2 hoses right in front of my eyes, not even moving. Something screwy going on there (well documented in other threads here). I'll *try to remember* to open them up on site, every time.
