Installing a 30 amp breaker?

Considering mounting a 30 amp breaker to replace the 30 amp fuse on the front of our new trailer. I have blown way to many fuses already, whether it be lifting the electric jack up or moving the slide in and out. Is this a good idea and how difficult is it?
Thanks
P.S. Pics would be great!

You talking about a DC fuse?

Resetting fuse

The big box auto stores have a " fuse " ( it may be called a circuit breaker ) that will direct replace a blade type fuse - not very expensive ( maybe less than $10 if I remember correctly ) a slow blow fuse may also work for you

The auto reset dc breakers I have seen will leave you stranded for a few minutes until they reset themselves.

I would try a slow blow fuse or correct the problem that causes it to blow!

I think I would chase down the cause of the blown fuses. You could be setting your self up for a fire and that would not be good Larry

A fuse blows for a reason. You need to find the cause before you burn the house down.

This....Or just replace with a 50 amp.

No! Find why it’s blowing! Then determine course of action.

Usually it's holding the up or down button on the front jack past the end of it's travel.

On my fifth wheel, I have the bottom and top marked with a line. Otherwise keep a nice supply of 30a fuses on hand.

Don't increase the amperage of the fuse, the wiring is sized for 30a, if you go to a 50a fuse you will cook the wiring. Changing to a 30a breaker would be the thing to do if you don't find out the reason those two items have a problem. It could be as simple as holding the sw's too long and the fuses doing their job, blowing before the motors overheat and cooking the wiring or them selves. Larry

30 Amp Breaker

I installed this one. It was simple and straight forward. It took me about 15 minutes. I agree with the above, that there may be many reasons. So far I blew my fuses by attaching the battery wrong, hitting the front cap with my ratchet, and it blew another time for unknown reasons. Just got fed up and followed the advice of someone here on the forum. Note that I installed it on the cover of the existing junction box which made it very simple, no need to extend any wires.
