Installing a ladder

Hi friends. Need some help. I purchased a ladder for the back of my 2011 Jayco 19RD. Is it pretty straight forward to install? Not sure of length of screws required. Did t come with any. Suggestions?

We had our dealer install one on our 2012 19RD before we took delivery, and they installed it on the right side. Not sure what length hardware they used.

What's strange is we saw a StarCraft with the same floorplan at a show, and the ladder was on the left. Perhaps a call to Jayco Customer Service will get your answers.

Would you mind taking a picture and email it to me??? theresagajecki@gmail.com I could then line up my ladder with where yours was installed. I’d really appreciate it.

I'll try tomorrow morning, and I'll take some measurements from the side to the mounts.

You're welcome. I'm not a techie, so we'll see if I can make it work. If not, I'll find a 6 year old, they'll get it on here in no time!

When I purchased my 2nd travel trailer it didn't have a ladder. I asked about adding one and the salesman said it was no problem. But, when I spoke to service, they said absolutely do NOT install a ladder. If it didn't come with a ladder it wasn't designed to have one and could damage the trailer to add it.

Maybe get a rear wall and roof schematic to know where framing is. A lot of the framing is only 1 1/2, pre drill to a depth on bit. Dicor behind and have at it. Good luck.

If you contact Jayco Customer support with your serial number, they will send you the schematics.
