Installing mudflaps

I would like to know if any of you installed mudflaps on their TT?

I have a 28BHBE and I was looking at mounting some flaps to reduce the splashing of road debris.

Also, I've seen many TTs that have rusted rear jacks (while the front one aren't damaged at all). It would seem to me that it comes from all the debris that gets thrown on them while driving. Chips the paint and then rust sets in.

I looked under but compared to my previous TT my JayFlight doesn't have a OEM bracket to put the mudflaps on...

Trying to see if anyone got some installed!

Interesting thought. I just looked at a 29QBS, which we plan on buying soon, and the dump outlets are literally 10 inches behind the rear wheel. I'd hate to kick up a rock or something and damage the valves.

I would guess that if your in the north salt spray is going to get on them no matter what. We don't have that problem in South Texas but I do spray everything underneath with a spray bed liner product from rustolem as we do get salt spray while on the ferry at the coast and salt spray in storms when camping in one particular RV park...called On The Beach...it's close.

The spray isn't the really a problem for northerners. It's the chipping of the paint from rocks and such that allows the spray to corrode much quicker.

Some people are actually having LineX or RhinoLiner applied to the underside of their new vehicles.

I have been thinking of doing the same for the past few years. On our HTT, I can see the frames and flooring. My thought is to add a piece of angle iron to the floor structure. Then cut mud flaps to fit. I was also thinking I might install them at a slight angle to the outside edge to encourage any water flow, rocks, crude to deflect away from the underside of the unit.
