Installing new vents/fans

I'm looking at a White Hawk 27DSRL but would like to have better ventilation. I'm pretty sure the ones I've looked at only have a vent in the bathroom. I'd like to add vents to the bedroom and den areas. How big of a deal would it be to install vents or Fantastic Fan type in the roof of a new TT?

If you already have a vent replacing with a fantastic fan is very easy . Most rigs already have wiring in the ceiling and the fans come with a wireless remote I have done two on our old rig and one on our new rig . Don't know much about cutting a new hole if you want to do that I would see the dealer to know for sure you aren't cutting a main support !

I would classify adding a vent, especially a power vent, in an area where there is none to be a major modification. You are talking about cutting into the roof membrane, decking, and ceiling then adding framing, wiring, the vent and replacing the membrane and sealing it all up to be water tight. It's very doable, especially if you have some construction skills -- but it's a major project.

... agreeing with clubhouse, it is a major project to start from scratch. And agreeing with Clayton, if you are using an existing opening (assuming correct fit) it's a no-brainer.

Some of the vent fans have a thermostat option. We had one in the bedroom of the Greyhawk, and it is an excellent option. I don't remember who made it.

Absolutely not necessary if you install a fantastic fan in the bathroom. Run the fan on exhaust and selectively open windows in the room or area of the TT you need to ventilate. You can cool every section quite adequately this way. Cutting a new hole in a roof is doable for sure, but why when it isn't necessary. My question to Jayco is why the fantastic fan is not at least offered as an option. Additional roof vents just aren't worth the risk and doing so and adding wiring is not a simple project.
