Interior lights flickering

I have a 2018 Jay Flight 26BH. All of the push button interior lights are flickering. There was a recall for 2017 for overheating lights. Jayco tells me there is no recall on lights for my vin #. They do not overheat but are flickering enough to cause seizures. Has anyone experienced this?

Look for a bad connection somewhere in the light string. Pull the lights down and inspect the connections at each light and also wiggle the wires and see if it causes any flicker. The covers just pop off so you can get the mounting screws out.

Our Eagle did that and we found loose connections at the inverter.

Bad Ground

Check for a bad ground. Somewhere you will have a wire connecting ground to the frame. I have had two units from different manufactures that had issues there and the common observation was flickering lights, particularity when the water pump or other intermittent draws came on.

Take a little sandpaper to both the wires connectors and the frame where it connects. Afterwards coat the connection in a little Vaseline to help protect from the elements.

Sounds like a bad connection. Lots of good advice mentioned above. If every light flickers, including the ones not connected to a master ceiling light switch, I would start with the fuse box. Work to the converter (at the fuse box). My first thought is a loose connection at one of the terminals behind the fuse box.

As others mentioned check the grounds. All the 12V items are grounded to the TT frame, at different locations. Grounds for light sometimes are grouped together, based on their location. So I would not be as suspicious of grounds, as you say all lights, and I am sure all the ceiling lights do not share the same single grounding point (except at the battery).

Just remember to turn off your power at the battery and disconnect your shore power. All that power comes to the same box.

Is it all or some of the lights? I had a couple lights doing this and it was the bulbs. I contacted the bulb manufacturer and they were great. Evidently they had some issues with a run of bulbs so they sent me enough to replace all in my camper free of charge.

I think they mean the converter. The lights are DC, aren't they?

Check the connections to your battery also. They can wiggle loose.
