Inverter question

My battery is done now old age and reads 10.5V. My question is when I plug into power my inverter will come on for a second than shut off. Everything works but when battery goes flat dead my power awning won’t work and light go dim. Do I need a good battery to have everything work right even when plugged in to full power?

Yes you need a good 12 volt deep cycle battery. Check your power converters 12 volt out- put and check all fuses related to your power converter, there might be fuses on the converter and otherwise they might be on your fuse board. Note! 110 volt has circuit breakers; 12 volt has a fuse board.

Best is to mark them with colored electrical tape. RV industry likes red for + and white for minus. Batteries down like to go below 11.9 Volt (50%), after that it takes the best from batteries. I have volt/amp meters installed for both 110 V and 12 V

You may also have an IN-LINE FUSE in that same circuit very close to the battery terminal. Sometimes this will be a circuit breaker... need to check to be sure you have a good PATH connection from your 12VDC DISTRIBUTION PANEL to the Battery terminals...
