Is my AC installed correctly?

I have a 13,500 ac in my Jay Feather 23 BHM. The ac unit in the roof looks set up and installed properly. However, when you open the vent in the front (the one that blows towards the front of the trailer) it is mostly blocked by a piece of plastic. The vent that is facing the back of the trailer is fully open and this is where all the air flows. So when you run the ac the back of the trailer is nice and cold and the front feels like the ac is hardly being run at all. Here are a few pictures to show what I'm talking about.

Does this seem right? Is there an easy fix I can do? I don't really want to take a saw into the ac if I don't have to!

Nope should't be blocked.

It would be easy to check. There are only 4 or 5 screws holding the ceiling assembly in place. Once they are removed you can take a closer look.

Yeah, looks like this will be going back to the dealer. Took the screws off and this is just the way the unit is assembled. The plastic piece that is blocking the front can't be removed by itself. I would have to cut it out manually, but that can't be how this was designed.

I just had a look at my AC and mine has that exact same plastic piece on that side.

Does yours blow all of the cool air to the rear of the trailer like mine? Just seems counterintuitive to me.

Yes, most of the air is directed out the rear when both ports are wide open. I just lower the flap to limit the air flow in the rear and it helps push more air out of the front port.

Interesting. Just wondering if this is the correct set up or not.

Just got off the phone with my dealer and will be bringing in in 2 weeks to get it looked at. Would be sooner but I'm going camping with it all next week.
