Get vent covers too. We always have them thrown in at the end just to seal the deal.

Good Morning,
New to the forum as we just bought a Feather 23rlsw. I agree with everyone in the plus 30% on discounting as we were able to it 36% with all the options we wanted. I had the exact unit quoted by a "direct buyer" where I would have had to drive 8 hours each way to pick up. When our dealer gave us the price I simply responded with I know you can sell them for that let me show you what I can buy it for. They gave me a reason not to drive. Now we just have to wait till next month for our unit to arrive. We also sold our 2005 unit for $500 less than we paid for it 2 years ago at $4000 more than offered trade and better $1500 more than we would have taken. Good Luck and Happy Camping.

Price seams good.

What I would do is push to have them add an electric tongue jack, max air roof vents, and maybe one more item, such as a rhino sewer hose, if you plan to camp with full hookups. Otherwise push for a good discount on a WDH and setup.

Also make sure you have enough truck to pull that TT, when fully loaded with people and gear.

Goodluck

The dealer is paid by the factory for prep. This is double dipping if you ask me. I was not charged for prep. Just a $150 documentation fee. That was it. I picked it up myself and saved even more on delivery charges. And, as stated before, made a nice little vacation out of it as well. Visited the Jayco factory while I was there.

I just looked at our sales paperwork. There isn't a "prep fee" listed anywhere. Who knows if that's something that is just bundled into the sales price though.

It's a 2015 they want to clear their lot I'd hit them for atleast 35%. Tell them to add the power jack, fan covers and split the destination charge.... AND THEN I'd spring on them "oh yea heres my pop up for that $5k you offered" !! I know RV One only charged me $695 for destination fee
