Isolation valve

Does anyone know where I can pick up a replacement shut off valve? One of the water heater isolation valves is seeping water from the bottom and needs to be replaced. What’s the easiest way to get those metal clips off the pex tubing and are they reusable? I’m hoping I can remove the clips and pop off the old valve without too much difficulty.

A picture would be helpful.

Generally the PEX fitting clamps are not re-usuable. Any big box store such as Lowes will have the tools and replacement valves, crimper and other tools you will need for the repair.

As Norty said not reusable, I'd look for a Shark Bite or Watts push on valve.

They are not reusable, Just clip them with a side cutter.

If you go with PEX fittings, be aware there are two sizes. RV PEX is slightly smaller than than crimp rings for irrigation, even thou they both will say 1/2"

You have a few options, can go with SharkBite, Watts, or in the PEX section you can pick up a replacement brass valve. I used Watts, to replace my low point drain valves last year.

I too have a leaky water heater valve, I have been dealing with for the last 2 years (tiny drip). I have not decided which way I am going yet.
