It's home!!!

Well, we made it home yesterday in the rain w/ our new Jayflight 28BHBE!!! I towed it back with our 2012 suburban w/ towing package. The PdI went smooth. The service tech ws good, plus with the knowledge I've picked up here, it lasted about 1 1/2 hrs. They hooked up the brake controller and hitch while we were doing the walk through. It ws already winterized, so I left it that way till we take it out in March. I only had to tow it about 30 miles or so, mostly interstate, back. It was my first time towing like this. I kept an eye on my tans temp, which avg 145 in the 60-65 mpg range. From a dead stop, the burb didn't hesitate and pulled it good. The trailer weight is 6911, which include AC and awning. So we are close on weight, but I think we'll be ok and we travel dry. It's just 4 of us plus living equipment. I'll post picks as soon a I can get them off my iPhone.

Congratulations... Now do some driveway camping. this way you can get to know the different systems, and how it all works. Also you can figure a list of items you might need to bring on the first camping trip. Besides it will be fun just to sleep in it..Enjoy..

Lucky you! That is a nice looking camper. We looked really hard at that model, ended up deciding on the new 29QBS for the full size queen. Have a LOT of fun and put some miles on those trailer tires!!!

Congrats, we just put a down payment on the same camper yesterday. It will be here in 4 - 5 weeks. I'll be watching to see what mods and things you look into

Thanks. I'm staying busy looking for camper additions. Like I said, we have till mid March to get it all ready. From order to delivery was about 6 weeks, but it was over Christmas and it took a little longer to pick it up. We are excited about it the more time we spend out there "piddlin'" with it. Our daughters have already put their sheets on their beds.
