Jacking TT wheel off the ground

I jacked my trailer wheel off the ground placing the jack under the axel tube. I know not to do that now, but what are the chances I did any damage? Sometimes Youtube videos are not good.
Thanks for any advice.

You are probably alright if you didn't notice any indention in the axle where you jacked it up at. Also, the further from the axel center you were the less likelihood of damaging the axle, and last which is my opinion but shared by many, if you jack up the axle where the leaf springs are attached to the axle, then you shouldn't have any worries. I will caveat that statement with leaf springs that are under the axle, if above the axle you could still jack there if there is a flat steel plate on the bottom or if you use a wood block or similar to distribute the weight some. Just don't jack any more than necessary. You certainly could jack it up along the frame, but many report issues doing that as well. Does you manual specify and preferred jack location for the trailer? ~CA

I don't have an owners manual, but I did read after the fact not to jack on axel tubes. I placed the jack next to the leaf spring, and only whet high enough to spin the wheel. No visible damage to the axel tube. Thanks for the reply Craigav.

As a tip to share, on all of the two axle trailers I have owned, I would simply use a ramp on the good tire and drive up (or backup) on to the ramp which would raise the tire I wanted to change off the ground. That worked great for packing the bearings and changing a flat, but not so good for rotating the tires on the same side of the trailer. ~CA
