Trailer Plug Holder

I installed this 7 way plug holder on our 25RB to help keep the plug dry when not connected.

https://www.amazon.com/Boat-Camper-T...s%2C207&sr=8-6

I used a 9/64” drill bit and supplied self taping screws.

I went with something to a little different, but for the same reason.

25RB Bumper Supports and Hitch for Bike Rack

Installed Mount-N-Lock Safety Struts bumper supports and a Curt 2” bumper hitch receiver to carry two bicycles. I had this same set up on our former Rockwood TT. Traveled over 7K miles on paved roads with two bikes on this set up. Our Swagman Escapee bike rack has a locking threaded hitch pin that keeps the bike rack from moving. Never any issue with cracked bumper welds, bouncing, etc. with this set up. I have the Furrion backup/observation camera to monitor the bikes on the road.

Our 2021 Jay Feather 25RB has the short I-Beam with double channel frames. The correct Mount-N-Lock Safety Struts is model SNU-HD. The instructions are good and the install was uncomplicated. YouTube videos also worth a look.

I used pieces of an old bike tire inner tube under the two Curt hitch bolts to help prevent wear/rust on the bumper.

Hope this helps anyone thinking about going with this type set up.

Hi all,
My wife and I are moving from a 2019 Hummingbird 17rk to a 2021 25rb. Loved the 'bird but we know that we will love the space in the rb. How is everyone using the pantry? Are you putting items in bins? Or does you "stuff" stay put on the shelves while traveling?
Thanks!
Brad

No issues using our pantry shelves. Some items we put in plastic bins but most sit on the shelves. We layed down rubber shelf grip liner to help protect the shelves. Also put a case of 48 water bottles on on the pantry floor under the bottom shelf and it stayed put during travel. Love our pantry, our former TT did not have one.

25RB Drop Down Countertop Extension

Jayco is now adding a drop down countertop extension on their 2021 Jay Feather 25RB. It likely can be ordered along with the brackets from Jayco Customer Service.

Two More Jay Feather 25RB Improvements

I replaced the stopper protecting the entry door from the exterior wall with a magnetic door catch. The magnetic catch keeps the entry door from moving on windy days. I used a little gorilla glue on the screws and behind round magnet.

I covered the tray for the propane tanks with shelf grip liner to keep the tanks from wearing on the tray and help prevent rust.

Please share your mods or improvements. Always interested in ways to make our TTs perform better.

I’ve tried ordering something similar through the dealership and still have not heard back from them. Do you know for sure if we can order direct? Have you tried doing this yet?

Just finished this one up this weekend. Covers the wires and junk we kept on this shelf. I used one of the doors from my earlier fireplace addition mod.

I have not contacted Jayco Customer Service. I don't know if owners can order direct or must go through a dealer. I'm holding off for awhile getting the drop down counter top extension.

Nice work installing a door to cover the TV cables. Jayco could easily have put a door there.

Just picked up our new 25rb yesterday. We are excited to get it packed up and out camping on Monday!
We have the drop down countertop but can't figure out how to make it stay up. I must be an idiot. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

If there are two brackets underneath you push up on each bracket at the bottom to lock the shelf in place. There would be a release lever on each Bracket to lower it. This is how they worked on my former Rockwood TT.

Any 25rb get the recliner tray tables that insert into the cupholder? Wondering if they will work on my 2020 25rb?

We have the recliner cupholder tray tables with our 2021 25RB. They should fit your 2020 25RB. Your Jayco dealer Parts Dept. or Jayco Customer Service can confirm the fit.

2021 25RB Issues

DW and I camped in 8 Western states, 10 RV Parks/Campgrounds all with hookups during July and August. Below are the issues that came up during our 2 month trip:

1. Water flowing into the fresh water tank when hooked up to city water.
• Discovered this when checking the FW tank monitor lights on the control panel. My FW tank was empty. Water pump was not used the entire trip. With city water on, I opened the FW drain valve and water flowed steady without a water pressure regulator at the city water spigot. After installing my 40-50 PSI regulator the FW drain slowed to a steady drip.
• We camped at several hookup campgrounds and RV Parks for 2 months. The FW drain slow drip never stopped.
• The issue appears to be the check valve not closing at the water pump outlet.
• When hooked up to city water, occasionally check your FW tank monitor light to be sure no city water is entering your tank.

2. Shark fin rooftop antenna had poor, limited or no over the air (OTA) channels within 30 miles of transmission towers.
• I checked all connections behind signal booster wall plate and TV. Wall plate switch set to ANT. Scanned OTA channels. In cities got 4 OTA channels or none at all with Jayco’s shark fin antenna. Cable TV worked fine.
• Many comments from Jayco owners complaining about poor OTA reception with the shark fin antenna.
• I used our backup King OmniGo portable omnidirectional HD antenna. Every hookup near cities I consistently got 26+ OTA digital channels with the King while the shark fin antenna got 4 or no channels.
• The issue is either the ANT side at the signal booster wall plate or the shark fin that requires removal from the roof.
• The antenna is under Jayco’s warranty. If my Jayco dealer says the shark fin is defective, I will replace it with Wingard Air 360 antenna.
• I had Winegard antennas on three former travel trailers and always got plenty of OTA digital channels.

3. Dometic Awning (5 months old) Has Small Rips.
• When fully extended the awning has 6 small rips along its length at the roller end as you look up under the awning. They are about one-half inch long rips.
• Never had any strong winds during our trip. We think it is the awning material.

4. Black tank sensors defetive.
• The black tank monitor lights on the control panel stayed stuck on 2/3 full after multiple tank drains and during use.

All of these issues (except replacing the shark fin antenna) are covered under Jayco's warranty. We really enjoy our 2021 25RB.

Happy camping!

How do I post a question?

Sorry, not too forum savvy. I'm not replying. I can't figure out... How do I post a question? Two really: 1. Anyone know the size of the lug nuts on the 2021 25RB? Manual is no help. 2. Anyone know of a retro-fit option for a clear window in the entrance door? The door surround molding doesn't present any screwheads to remove the factory glass. Thanks
Pax,
Cookiejar
