Jay flight 28bhs hot water tanks leaking

My fitting leading into hot water tanks seem to be slowly dripping. Any one every have this problem or have a fix for this. Thanks in advance in a camping newbie.
So leak is happening where grey fitting meets the hot water tank. Looks to be spray foamed in there. Can see water leaking between grey fitting and foam looking stuff.

i just had this issue last fall days before I put it away for the winter.

mine was slowly dripping out of the threads.

my solution

- remove and replace the 1/2" male-male coupler with a new one
- clean the thread of the tank and supply line
- wrap the threads of the coupler with plumbing tape, i did 4 layers*
- apply plumbing dope (that is the foam/putty) to the threads, mix well and work it into the threads)

- reassemble (don't over tighten)

i let it sit for about 1 week before i applied water and tested

Paul
(* i did 4 layers and plumbing dope because it keep leaking with less)

Wow great thanks for the quick response. I was hoping that was a male to male fitting behind the putty. Just wasn’t sure and didn’t want to break anything lol. Especially the hot water tank
