We have a Jayco 2019 212QBW. We are two retired people in our seventies and we like the trailer. Big problem we had in the summer of 2019. We went on a eight day dry camping trip to a family reunion in the mountains of Idaho. We had can goods in the pantry. When we got to the reunion the shelves in the pantry had broken down to the floor. The Jayco dealer put staples back in the shelves to cover the warranty. They did not fix the shelves to hold can goods. I had to rebuild and strengthen the shelves.

Same thing happened to us on a trip to Montana. The staples are worthless. I ended up reinforcing shelves throughout with screws and braces. Be sure to check the cabinet over the dinette. It was sagging in ours too, along with the shelf over the bed.

Don't forget to look at the dinette seats. We braced ours even before the first trip. Having a seat collapse when you don't have a woodworking shop on site is a PITA.

It's been a while, but we put on some stuff from Home Depot (I don't see ours on the site anymore); however, all of it should be pretty good. Just make sure the wall is clean. Some have added some additional adhesive, but I never did and ours have been through some pretty hot and humid days up here in Canada (I know, but the Ottawa is crazy with 100+ heat in the summer and -40 in the winter) and we have never had any come loose or sag.

We used a thin metal subway tile. It is peel and stick, but I added some dabs of construction adhesive for good measure, as we get a lot of 100+ temps in summer. It’s held well. It’s available from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Aspect-Backsp.../dp/B00NWZ6Q0I

I love this trailer. I had slx jayco sleeps 3 and loved it but was forced to trade for a bunk model to sleep 4. Now that my mother has passed away, husband busy with his job and not interested in camping and the daughter moved and in her own world, it is just me solo traveling. I love the trailer now but now that I see this one I love it. I might consider it. It is 2000 lbs under what the jeep can tow. Seriously considering this model.

We reinforced the seats the day after we took ownership. We velcro stripped the cushions so they do not slide any more.

The oven is difficult to figure out when lit. You have to put your head in it to see if the spark igniter worked.

Toilet use requires gymnastics.

There are plenty of things to like though.. The stove. the storage. The headroom though I need help in getting things from a cabinet, not being tall. Long arms do help or one of those senior grabbers. The pantry is deep.
I'd be VERY interested in hearing more about velcro stripping the cushions. I bought some stick on velcro and it wouldn't stay attached to the cushions.

oboy I can't help you with brand. We were in Northern Maine and went to the only hardware store for miles around. It was an industrial grade sticky.

you should be aware of this if you are not the original owner. You won't get the letter unless the former owner forwards it to you.

Thanks so much KG. I'll definetly give them a call. I checked with the owner and he never received one probably because he had moved since he bought it.

Welcome to JOF and to the unofficial 212QBW club! Hope you enjoy the rig as much as we have. There are some good mod tips here that you may want to check out. And be sure to share what you do with us.

Mag: The NHTSA site is the place to go to check for recall info, especially for a 2nd-owner trailer. Just type in your VIN here. You can also sign up for recall alerts.
