Jay Flight SLX8 Refrigerator Options

Does anyone know if the standard refrigerator and the optional refrigerator for Jay Flight SLX8 trailers both work on electric or gas?

We just purchased a SLX Toy Hauler with a 6 c/f fridge. We were told the upgrade was a 12v fridge. no propane option which doesn't work for us when we camp at the track

I believe all Jayco SLX 8 refrigerators run on propane and electric. Our trailer has the 8 cf unit and it runs on both.

The optional 8 cu frig is 12 volt only. If you dry camp at all you need to consider your power management. There have been a few posts on the subject in the last 6 months. Mostly like you, inquiring about the option.

Here is a link to one of the discussions https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...tor-81620.html

Here is the technical link to the Norcold 8cu 12V frig https://norcold.com/product/polar-8d...-refrigerator/

Thanks a lot for the great info! Would have loved to get the bigger refrigerator, but I definitely want one that will run on propane. That would be a pretty big disappointment for me to end up with an electric only!

I also ordered the upgraded 12v fridge on my 2021 264BH and didn't realize it wasn't propane as well as the electric but I also got the solar panels option and I think I'll be okay for some limited dry camping with some generator assistance to help top off the batteries.
