Congratulations! We have a 2018 SLX212 QBW and love it. With just the two of us (three with the dog), it is just the right size. The rear living with three windows was the clincher and we try to seek out back-in camp sites with nice views out the back. As newbies, we’ve continually learned about trailers in general and the 212 QBW specifically. There wasn’t enough counter space, so I installed a fold-down shelf. Command hooks added more utility to the bath and bed area. You’ll hear about the bed-reinforcement mods from most of us and you’ll probably want to do that. Best advice I can give is take your time to learn it and what you need she don’t need. And keep reading JOF — great, wise folks here. Here’s a link to some of the mods I’ve done if it helps: https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/m...lbums1625.html

2016 here

We have a 2016 212QBW. We LOVE it! We are retired and no kids. We took out the dinette and placed cabinets underneath or storage and a counter top across the side window. Now, we sit and watch TV or eat while looking out the side window. We try to camp at sites with a view. We also remodeled the bed to isolate the cross compartment on the front and added under-bed storage compartments accessible from the inside. We removed the paneling under the bed in the living area. Changed out the cloth shower curtail and existing shower track with a curved shower road and normal shower curtain. Added a heating element to the AC unit (only good for taking the chill out of the air). Tows great with my F250. No qualms with this trailer at all.

There are many mods in this forum. Search for them, if you are looking to change anything up. Enjoy!

We've got a 2018 212qb. Like most everyone, it was the draw of the rear entertainment area that drew us in.

There's lots of reading ahead. Welcome to the forum and happy camping!

Maiden Camping Trip

We took out our 2019 212QB this weekend for it's Maiden Camping Trip. In order to test it's functionality for longer future trips. Everything was great except for a slow leak under the bathroom sink. I slightly tightened the water line nuts to the faucet but that didn't stop the leak. I believe that the leak is located at the crimped ring that attaches the water line to the faucet nut. We will be taking it back to the dealer to get this remedied. Since it's under warranty they can fix it. Otherwise I would just do it myself. Only 15 more teaching days until Summer Vacation. Looking forward to creating camping memories all Summer.

Make sure that you can get it in and out of your dealer in a quick time frame. I certainly wouldn't drop it off and leave it for them to diagnose and then fix the problem. You don't want to lose any camping time this summer waiting on such a simple warranty repair.

Had the same leak in ours early on. They are tricky to pinpoint, but I finally determined it was above the crimped part. I retreaded it with Teflon tape and it took care of it.

Great tips and ideas. I'll try the Teflon tape to see if that fixes our leak before taking it in as warranty work. Thank you Midnightmoon and LuckyDuck.

Welcome. I've had that same problem under my kitchen sink since new. A little Teflon tape and 15 min an you should be good to go.

I've got a little anti-freeze spray in the back of the top drawer under the kitchen sink. I will be looking at this soon...

I know this thread has been dormant for a while, but for fellow 212 QBW owners, I thought I’d throw out something I discovered. Sitting on the couch recently, I noticed that bottom of the cabinet over the dinette was sagging, especially closer to the trailer wall. The window valance actually was supporting part of it. I propped the bottom panel back up to level. Then glued and screwed a 1x2 to the inside wall of the cabinet (to the right of the microwave). Minwax red mahogany stain matched the ledger to the cabinet. I then screwed the cabinet bottom up into the 1x2 and painted the countersunk screw heads with paint matching the wood stain.

I just mention it in case you have the same problem. We’ve been using our trailer a lot for 18 months and didn’t notice it until I happened to look up from the couch. One more fix done!
