Brought home the TT to get ready for a trip and turned on the frig. to cool down but it feels like the frig is not running! However the freezer is starting to get cold! How long does it take before the frig gets cool like its running?
The power is on but nothing is running on the frig! Please help!

Gas is faster. Be aware it's not a home fridge. I start mine at least a day before a trip.

What brand is the fridge? Is it a gas / electric? Any lights on? Blinking?

on mine the freezer gets cold much faster than the fridge part. I would wait at least 12 hours or more.

The brand is a Dometic! It's a electric / Gas and no flashing light solid on power. Makes sense about the time it takes to get temp down!
Thanks guys for the quick responses!
thanks
Rick

Like said above, these fridges take a LONG time to cool down, depending on their temp before you start. It's normal for the fridge portion to take most of the day. If you're feeling the freezer get cold first, it looks like it's working. Most of us fire up the fridge the day before we leave to get it cold.

Also make sure you bump up the thermostat setting to at least 3 snowflakes showing, that should get the fridge down to the low 30's in temp.

It’s silent when it’s running or maybe I’m deaf

No compressor, and most don’t have fans. It’s a boiler element to do the phase change.

Why the low 30's? It won't speed up the cooling process. And it is too cold for a refrigerator temp.

My wife, when I first married her, used to think turning a stove on to 450 would get the needed 350 degree temp there faster. It took a while to convince her to set it to 350 and wait.

Refrigerator temps are between 32 and 40 degrees, go look at a fridge thermometer. It takes these RV fridges so long to cool down and then to recover when the door is opened, it's better to set it at a lower temp initially, to cool the whole thing lower.
Plus.... I like my beer cold...

We like to freeze gallons of water, and throw them in when we turn on the fridge. I have done the same with dry ice in the bottom of the freezer. Helps it get the temps down faster.
