Jayco 25BH bunkbed feedback

After a lot of visits to our local RV lots, we finally pulled the trigger on a Jay Feather 25BH last weekend. We are supposed to pick it up this week. After going back and looking at pictures of our trailer and comparing it to other units, I'm noticing that the bunk area in this trailer seems more cramped than others. Definitely not enough room for our kids to sit up. Does anyone have the 25bh and have any feedback on this issue? As my username states, I'm a bad decision maker!

I do not know the model you mentioned, but I considered WH line 25BHS and 28DSBH. BHS was shorter, which I preferred due to state park restrictions, however the bunk beds were cramped. 28DSBH has big regular bunk beds and definitely you do not have an impression of sleeping in a coffin.

Congrats on the 25bh! I wouldn't call purchasing one of those a bad decisionIt's true the bunks are a little low on headroom, our 9 and 11 year old boys can't sit up in them, but then again, they never complain about not being able to sit up. Our 25bh is such a huge upgrade from what we had before they know better than to complain. As far as sleeping room, they have more than enough room in most cases.

I have not seen any bunks that are huge, and are easy to sit up in.

As a kid, we had one. I had the upper coffin, I laid on my stomach with a couple pillows to read. Kids are a lot more flexible than us old folks.

My youngest daughter is 17 and fairly tall at 5'8" but she can sit up in the upper or lower bunks of our 28BHBE. Her head is very close to the top but she can still sit up straight...

I am picking up a 25BH on Friday from Camping World. It doesn't have a lot in terms of overhead space in the bunks, but our theory is that the kids will use it exclusively for sleep. I am excited to pick mine up!

I would agree. They are just up there for sleeping. Not really any other time. But they are out running around. They do read up there for a bit before going to sleep I guess.
