Jayco 40 Loft - Mice Problem

I am a long time trailer owner. Never experienced this with my previous Jayco Trailers. Mice seem to be making there way into the trailer. The bottom of the trailer was inspected and openings were sealed. The sliders are currently closed and sealed. When I visited the trailer evidence of mice were inside.

Anyone else experience this with this model? Any solutions?

I can't speak for that specific model but I can tell you that this is the first time in nearly 20 years of owning RV's that I have a mouse problem. We store our trailer on our property which is wooded on the perimeter. When I opened up this year there was a tremendous amount of rodent evidence!

I take all necessary precautions, and even use Cab Fresh but this year they hit hard.

I used 2 high power halogen work lights placed inside my camper in the dark and crawled underneath looking for any signs of light shining through. That's how I found several small easily missed openings in the past. I think its time for the light show again.

I had mouse problems and did the crawl under and plug holes. I used aluminum screen wire in strips poked into every hole then sealed in place with foam. The I went inside and opened up every area I could and sealed them with wire and foam from the top. Then I bought a JT Eaton 902 top loader bait station. A T shaped pipe setup that loads bait bars on a wire to keep them from being removed or dogs, cats and wildlife from getting to them. But the price was a bit high so I copied it several times with white PVC 1 1/2 inch for about $4 each. I place one by each wheel and the tongue and refill a couple times a winter.
JT Eaton 902R Top Loader Bait Station on Amazon.

Peppermint oil works great. Use talcum powder to track 'em and find where they're coming in.
