Jayco Eagle 314bhds or Wildcat Maxx

Hey folks, I have decided to purchase either an Eagle 314bhds or Wildcat Maxx bunkhouse. They seem to be quite similar across the board. I am partial to the Jayco and wife like the Maxx. Please let me know your experience with the Eagle trailer bunkhouse. Thanks

Here is one thing to consider. Jayco is the only RV manf. out there that has a two year warranty.

Actually, some of the KZ models have a 2yr warranty, unless it's changed. BUT.... being a Thor Industries Co I don't plan on owning one!!!

Wildcat, that's a FR trailer, isn't it? From what I have read, you can add a second year to the warranty for $150 for FR rv's. Possibly can negotiate it into the deal

Just tell your wife the warranty is better on the Jayco, and don't give all the details!!! Lol

We have been happy with our Jayco so far!!!

Good luck deciding!!!

I would buy a FR product before a Thor product. I would have considered a Puma more closely if I knew about adding the second year of the warranty, but the comparable has the outdoor shower under the awning!!! How crazy is that???!!! The outdoor shower was the main reason we decided against it. Otherwise it was a nice unit.

It seems it depends on what level the FR model is at, entry, mid, high. Mid and high seem to be a little better.

Nice to know...I believe the Wildcat Maxx is one of their higher end trailers. Been doing a ton of homework and just torn

this a cut and paste from the FR website.

Forest River RV brands provide a One-Year Limited Warranty with some brands offering an optional Two-Year Limited Warranty. Many of the suppliers utilized by Forest River RV warranty their own products, and some components may have a longer warranty through the actual component manufacturer.

So I guess there is a option on "some" of there trailers.

Dusty,

For what it's worth, this is our 1st Jayco. Have used it for 2 seasons now.
Previously we owned 3 different Sunline TT.
Sunline, though out of business now, was IMO a high end TT, excellent quality and their customer service was exceptional.

I feel Jayco's quality and customer service rivals what we experienced with our Sunlines.

We've been very happy with our Jayco and the company.

I was going to suggest to you that you also search the Forest River Form for info, but I noticed you already have a post there

Good luck.
