Jayco G2 20BH Leak (Ick that word)
Hello Everyone,
Last year, we bought a a 2008 Jayco G2 20BH that we have recently learned has either developed or has had a leak.
Last summer, when it was nice and dry we did a leak test and did notice there were spots on the front trim that allowed the air to escape, so we sealed it all the spots up, reran the test and thought we were good. We paid particular attention to the roof.
Now, after we had a recent monsoon roll through (well monsoon by Texas standards!) we broke out the moisture detector and have found that we have water along the back wall. We pulled the trim up along the back and sure enough, it's wet but shows no signs of mold or mildew.
Our plan is to remove the trim on all four sides (they all needed sealant from the leak test), clean off all the tape and reseal them with butyl tape.
Our question is are we on the right track? Are the corners are main culprit?
We appreciate any insight you can give!
Best to all,
Theresa
