Jayco J flight 145hb baja generator mounting suggestions.

We just purchased a generator for A long trip we are planning this summer. I was wondering is it better just to lug the generator in the back of my pickup or add a receiver to my bumper of the trailer and add a storage rack?

Pick your means, either will work great. Some folks mount the generator on a rack on the front of the trailer, that will work too. I personally put mine in the front of the truck box to lower my tongue weight.

This is how I mounted mine. 2" tube shackle bolted to the main frame.

I liked it in the truck bed with an extended run kit, and chained to the tie downs. Wasn’t lugging, refilling, and worried as much about theft.
