Jayco Jay Flight SLX 7 good for boondocking?

Hello All. I'm looking at small travel trailers for boondocking and was wondering if you have an opinion on using the Jay Flight SLX 7 183RB for boondocking. Also, I've seen some sites saying that this model is not self contained but others say it has electric, water and sewage. Any clarity would be appreciated. Thanks, John

It depends on how you define boondocking.
The fresh water, black, and gray tanks are only 20 gallons each. If you are single that could last a week. If you have women/teenage girls, it’s probably a single day.

Thanks NewBlackDak. It is just for myself. I've done a fair amount of boondocking in my Redhawk - mostly I'm concerned about the "build" quality of this travel trailer. Do you think it's made well enough to handle National Forrest roads and the AZ dessert or is it made more for family weekend trips? Thanks again.

I have a 195RB and I wish it had double paned, insulated windows, bigger tanks, more space for storage, more weight carrying capacity. But I could afford it and could tow it with what I have.
We often travel and make one or two night stops. Not enough water for a real shower but life is always a trade off. If you can do with the tanks, add solar or generator then you will probably be just fine. Get the Baja model, a little bigger tanks, more ground clearance and bigger LP if you need more.

I boondocked in a Jayflight Swift model from ‘13-19. I took it down some seriously rutted and washboard roads. I did have to rebuild the dinette frame in 2016 with real wood, but it was caused by 2 150lb teenagers wrestling in it. We would still be in it, but we started brining toys and I hated taking 2 vehicle towing trailers everywhere.

I had a 2016 195RB and really enjoyed it. There were some cons like the bed pedestal and the joke of a mattress. My wife thought is was too cramped in the kitchen. It was solidly built and the roof was sturdy. You can easily find camp spots to accommodate its size. When I bought it I thought that a 7 foot width would be a bonus because I wouldn't need mirror extensions, but I quickly learned that an 8-foot width would have been a lot better for room.
