Make sure to take a good flashlight for looking into recesses. Can also be used to peer through the grill covering the furnace return. Also use it to look for rust over all of the frame members. Our Greyhawk had a noticeable amount and our dealer sanded and repainted it under warranty.
I had a customer come in to my service department asking us to check 3 items that customers had problems with on these forums. He wanted us to check the three items below.
1. Check bolt tightness on suspension.
2. Check roof seals and seal if needed.
3. Check if wheel bearings have grease in them
All three listed above were issues the fourms told him to check on his NorthPoint or Pinnacle. Can't remember which is was. This was also a customer that purchased RV at RV Direct but lived local.
We checked all three. Found a skylight that needed some lap sealant work was all.
Shop rate $115/hour
1. Labor time .3
2. Labor time .5
3. Labor time 1 hour.
Total 1.8 = $ 207 plus shop supplies/lap sealant.
Warranty covers = 0. All items considered maintenance.
Customer freaked out. I explained I do not get paid from Jayco to fix things that are not broken. This is stuff he should of had his dealer do before he picked up his trailer.
115 dollars an hour.....did he also get legal advice or brain surgury
