jayco ultra lite x17z tv

The jayco ultra lite x17z trailer we bought doesn't come with a tv. We won't get the trailer until next week so I can't check right now but anyone knows if I can hook up a PC monitor in there with an AVG or DVI input?
Thanks

I say leave the tv at home and enjoy the sounds of nature. Read a book. Talk to each other. Listen to music. JMHO

Kids versus tv

I'd rather listen to sounds of kids over tv any day.

I used to be that guy, no TV under any circumstances. But we bought a small one for a long trip in 2005 for catching weather reports along the journey. Now we use it pretty much for weather in the morning and watching DVDs at night before going to bed. It's also nice to have when the weather is not so nice. Of course our daughter is grown up now. I would not have ever had one when she was little.

All that said, sure you can pretty much set up anything you want. But a 20" LCD TV is pretty cheap now. It'd be worth just buying one.

I have enough of that all day. Now I'm not saying I don't like my kids but when it's bedtime it's bedtime and to make it a bit different and more exciting I let them watch a cartoon before bed. That is ok with me. And also I think every parent deserves a little time to themselves when camping. Lol

Do you like the 17 ft ultra?? We just bought an 18ft. It's just us two. I think it's the right size.

Well.. you could plug it in and it would turn on... but that's about it.

While I have yet to pull my iRV unit out, from what I have found you just get standard RCA jacks to connect to that.

The tv antenna gives you a coax line.

So, unless you are brining something else to put video on the display, no, a PC monitor wont do you any good.

I'm not a fan of camper TVs. However, 2 weekends ago it came in handy for the weather rolling through. The lightening was right on top of us. Rain doesn't usually scare me, but we found rolling up the awning & closing up the back end was a wise choice. We have the 17C and just set ours on the fridge or bench and hook it to the antenna. There doesn't seem to be a "spot" to fasten it to the wall. I pack it up at the end of every trip and it doesn't even come out if we have kids along. It's just easier that way.
