My 242bhs just has a plug on the side of the tongue. It was wired through the main 12 volt wiring of the camper. When using a small trickle charge solar panel, you need to disconnect the battery from the trailer (if not the Co2 alarm and the radio keep a small load on the battery that a trickle charge cannot keep up with). Problem is, wired as it is from the factory, your wire will never reach the battery if it's disconnected. I went back as far as I could and cut the wire for the solar charger plug and wired it direct to the battery, under the main connector. Now when I disconnect it, the panel will still charge the battery. This is only a small panel that's meant to maintain a charge. With the bigger panels, I assume they will overcome the small draw so you should be bale to plug right into it. I have not tried any bigger panels yet for full charging but that's my little story.
