Phase One complete, my wife and I filled the tank watched the Level Meter for "Fresh" which there is just one meter and it took alot less time than I had thought, I used a 5/8" white water hose to fill it. we used just about 1 1/2 cups of bleech. Just to give it a try, we let the over flow start just a little to make sure nothing was blocked (since this was our first fill) and it (2 tubes down) One flowed a bit more than the other but both stopped fine. WE have decided to leave the water in the tanks over night and drain it in the morning. Again, were not planning on using it for drinking water but it willl be clean if we decided to. WE turned the pump on and it pressurized just fine and the water flowed at all spicgots ...

One question, there are 2 low point drains under the TT, I am guessing that they are both for fresh water drains? So, that says 2 tanks? If so, the water meter is only 1 segment of LED's and one push button,,, so, how does one meter measure 2 fresh water tanks if that is what they are for.. Again, the manual is so vauge that I guess you can read it anyway you want.

We plan to just use a hose to empty the tanks ... anyone know if any connections that are available to make it easy to connect to the valve? other than a little ole duct tape ?

I wanted to update the folks watching this thread about our trip and how it all went... and I have to say, it went great. We drove to the Sugarland Visitors Center just outside the Smoky Mountains National park (only about 2 miles from the Elkmont Campground and filled our fresh water tanks. They have a very nice set up, easy to get in to and out of.. the fill rate was a little slower than our home fill, but that was OK, filled until we saw water start flowing from the overfill. We noticed that the parking area is a little off level so although our tank showed full I think it was actually just a little under when we drove out. We added the Camco water freshener at the time of the fill. We didn't plan to drink the water but use it for dish washing, showers and other uses in the TT. I did fill a glass and it looked crystal clear and I actually took a drink... it was just fine so I'm sure if we drank it we would not have had a problem.

We camped for 4 days, (3 nights) and all in all, used less than 1/2 the tank full... (probably a bit conservative)

All in all, the trip was great, it was no hookups so we were really pleased on how all went, the Two Trojan GC 105 batteries started with a meter reading of 12.5 Volts.. at the end of the trip I was still seeing 12.1 volts after 4 days... guess My LED changeout paid off. I took an extra Marine.RV Deep Cell battery in the trailer, I hooked up a multi USB charging system for our phones and our tablets .

I have an ongoing issue with Jayco and the meter panel where the battery voltage level is not being registered... the meter stays at led 1 (or empty)... I"m still working with Jayco on that. On the way home one of the side light lens seem to disapear, they were all there when we left and by the time we got home one was missing... I was surprised that there are no screws matter of fact all I see is what looks like 2 dabs of silly putty holding it on... I've sent a note to Jayco on that!

All in all, had a great trip, anyone in the area I can say that Elkmont is a great park and lots to do...I only wish I had planned to stay longer because the TT could have kept us going for another week if we need...

Anyone have any questions just drop us a note..

Elkmont has great memories for me. Stayed there about 30yrs ago in my father n laws truck camper. Had a great time. We now camp at smoakemont, just about 10 miles from Cherokee. We stay in f-loop which has a good size stream running behind the sites. F-4 was our site.
