JaySmart Safety Markers

Just picked up our new 2022 Jay Flight SLX 212QB last week and noticed that the Jay Smart turning indicators aren't working. The regular rear turning indicators lights work fine all the clearance lights work fine while on they just won't work with the turning lights.

Called the dealer where I purchased the trailer they had me do a fuse test on the 7 pin hookup plug, result was all lights turned on, but no way to tell if they would flash. They advised that they thought the problem was with the wiring on my truck "2022 Ram 1500 Classic 5.7l."

I have had 2 of my buddies 2015 F150 and a 2021 Ram 1500 hookup to the trailer and they have the same issue.

Not trying to undermine the dealer but wondering if anyone is aware of any issues and simple fix as I live 75 miles from the dealership and if it is a simple fix I won't have to take the 150 mile round trip.

Did have dealer install a 2nd battery not sure if that plays into it.

The problem is clearly not with your, or any truck in this case since all the lights work. There is a Jaysmart Module that you will need to check. Mine is in my front pass through on the roadside under a wooden box. I would start there by inspecting the wiring connections. I am not sure where yours is located but once you find it , it will take some time to figure out the rats nest of wires coming to and going out from there. That's likely where your problem lies...

I had the same issue with the side running lights not flashing with the turn signals. They had worked during my pre-purchase checkout.

I removed a corner panel in the front pass through storage area while looking for a 12V source for another project. I noticed a loose wire and a WACO connecter with the tab flipped up. I also noted one of the wires from the WACO went to the side running light. I said could it be. So, I did a continuity check, plugged in the seven pen to the truck and sure enough the wire was associated with the turn signal. Connected the wire and the side lights started flashing.

I felt so smart. LOL.

Thanks for the information, can't find the the module but will continue to look. If any one knows where the module should be on a 2022 JF 212QB please let me know.

Thanks again

Check for a wooden boxed cover in your pass through storage. Mine is on the roadside just inside the door on the curved part of the front wall.

I had the same issue with my SLX and I eventually emailed Jayco and their response was my unit does not come with that feature. So I stopped looking.
