just finished detailing my 3120 Designer...

what a job...I am 47 and in decent shape but when every quote was $500+ I had no choice but to do this myself...1st I am a rep for Meguiars and have been since the 80s..I used a compound found in the marine division and a polish from the professional line and then #63 our marine wax...since the shell is fiberglass and the unit was left untouched for at least 5 years I had my work cut out....I also used a orbital sander with variable speed and wool cutting pads and then foam polish pads...I worked all day Fri-sat-Sunday...

I have been remodeling the whole unit since Feb...
so far to date...

coated the roof with Liquid Rubber ( great stuff no more black streaks)
New ceiling in bedroom,
new wall in bedroom
removed all carpet/vinyl
removed Jayco sleeper coach
repaired slide on one corner with marine ply...
sealed all windows with marine sealant...( I hate silicone)
painted all the walls/ceilings with Kilz oil base
painted all the walls
installed new vinyl wood floors
painted or replaced appliances with black instead of white...
installed all new interior lighting ( I also rep Progressive Dynamics, converters and lights)
recovered all the valances and cushions
new fold out bed..( tough to find with 28 door opening)

I still have a few things left but have had fun and learned allot about our jayco's I have booked camping trips every month starting this month until July...with state parks, beaches and disney fort wilderness...

I am new to here but hope with my restoration I can help you guys/gals when I can...I just had to tell someone all the work I put in and that you guys would understand...lol...I am not sure how or when I can post pics but I do have some before and afters....

47? Still a Spring chicken. Just wait til you`re 49. Then you`ll really feel it! By the looks of that list you`ve been very busy indeed working on the trailer.
