I bought a ice maker. Its a little heavy though.

Also, I use silicone bread molds to make large blocks in my home chest freezer before a trip. Keeps ice in the coolers for 5 days or more !

We typically throw our two Yeti Hopper 30's in the bed of the truck during our summertime trips to keep ice, drinks, etc. in.

I use one of the portable ice makers. Found it on sale at Cabela's. We keep it outside on a table since is can be mildly noisy at times. But have cubes within a few minutes of starting it up, and it continues to make as long as there's water in it. I put them in a zip lock bag and transfer to the RV freezer to stock up... or just fill the glass from the maker. Boom...Super Easy.

Ice maker as well. Worth it's additional weight in gold!
