Kitchen sink

Hello, we have a 2013 Bayview Eagle with corian counters and white seamless sink. We are noticing the sink is turning a black purple color from doing dishes. The white finish seems to be coming off, or scratching. My camper is still in two year warranty and I purchased the platinum protection plan. Anyone else noticing this and do you think it would be covered.

Never heard of Corian doing that.

Corian, being homogenous product can be cleaned with a maroon or grey scotch brite pad. It is non porus and does not stain.

It is not the counter the sink itself is turning another color from doing dishes . The white on the sink seems to be scratching off

If it's a "seamless" install, then the sink is Corian as well. That means the color goes all the way through. The color can't come off the surface. Following Wagg's advise should take care of the problem, and a periodic "re-buffing" should keep it looking new for years.

Chances are what is "flaking" off is soap residue, which is also what is being discolored. As Brownie said, if the sink and top appear to be one piece, with no noticeable seam between the two then the sink is also Corian. Using a scot brite pad lightly sand the entire sink (and top if needed). This will take off any residue and renew the sink/top to original finish. It will also remove small scratches.

Good Luck

Corian is acrylic resin with ATH filler.
