Well we had our first overnighter and we only stayed one night so our kitchen needs were pretty light.

Now we are prepping for our full camping trip at the end of this month. So I need to get cookware and baking ware. (we brought biscuits but forgot a cookie sheet on our first trip).

So looking for recommendations.

Hit the dollar store for things like untensiles. A buck apiece goes a long way.

Like everything else you think you'll need, buy they absolute minimum you think you need along with something to make a list -- either a pencil and paper or your phone. Then as you encounter things you need or wish you had, write it down.

The last thing you want to do is buy a bunch of stuff you think you need only to get tired of lugging it around and end up having it take up space in the garage or basement.

I bought a 12 piece Cephalon set from Amazon. Cost about 140.00 and it stays in the camper. Cooking, eating and drinking are the most fun when camping so why not have nice equipment to enjoy them with. We even went as far as to get 4 yeti cups and toss all the plastic junk.

I am a coffee drinker, I have a one cup electric coffee maker and have used it once. I purchased a 5 cup percolator that I use on the stove top and this for me is the best maker for me. I think for me small plastic storage containers for things like flower and other powders for cooking and cleaning keeps things small and refillable. Nothing is in a original container everything is in a container that seals tight and is mouse proof. If they cant get into it they tend to stay away.

ItchingAll we have is misc stuff that we rook out of the house. We have very little in the htt. We have a few pots of different sizes, a few frying pans, a few tuperware containers for leftovers. Minimal utensils. Three good sharp kitchen knives, in sheaths.

Often we could use something else, but we get by. If you use the oven, bring a second cookie sheet or a ceramic stone to put over the burner unit. Otherwise you'll burn the bottom of your food.

I tend to think about our meal selection, how are we going to prep it, cook it, and think about what we have, and can I make it work. Once in a while, we'll toss in something from the house for the weekend.
