Who else has a final trip planned before winterizing. I hate saying that. Our last trip is Columbus day weekend. Local trip but cant wait. Great to have fires at night when not to hot. Where you going?

Last trip of season

We've got two more. One in October and one in November. Depending on the temps I may have to winterize before the November trip to SC. Then de-winterize and re-winterize at the campground before coming home. Had to do that this past January when we went to Ft Wilderness. It's not that bad...

Thinking about Misty Mountain in Greenwood VA for our last trip Oct 23-25. Wish we could go more, but Oct and Nov are busy months around our house...

We just took our last big trip of the year but I am sure we will do a few more one or two night trips. We left WV. and drove to The Point campground at Arbuckle Lake in Sulphur Okla. for a 4 day stay visiting family. I always have been a driver so distance is no problem for me. 1350 miles one way, drove about halfway there and stayed at a Flying J truck stop and got a good nights sleep at a good place to stay! Did the same thing on the way back. Toyota handled everything fine and averaged about 9mpg running speed limit. Hills and mountains no problem.

We are taking our 24fbs the same weekend for the second time. We live about 35 miles NW of Atlanta and are hoping to get a weekend in November. Depends on the weather. We will make sure everything is drained after Columbus Day weekend and winterized after our November outing. Kind of hate to put it to bed for the winter after just 2 maybe 3 uses.

Columbus Weekend may be our last trip unless any local CG's have any openings. We usually camp up until the end of October but we booked late this year and could not find any open spots.

Man camping all year in California must be awesome. Always thought about moving to Florida, could do it there also. Love that people extend there camping into the colder months. Wish I had the time. Would like to see how the camper handles the 0 to minus temps. Of course I would not hook any water to it, and would be in my driveway. I have the polar(thermal) package and the double pane gas filled windows. Just would have to uncover it for a weekend. Be my luck we would get a snow storm then. Any way enjoy all your last trips for the season, I cant wait to go.

We have had our first substantial snowfall here in Alaska. Even so, we are heading out one more time in mid October for a pleasurable weekend. Then it will be winterized until the December Caribou hunt during which we will not de winterize the main lines. We will carry a 35 gallon tank inside the TT with a hand pump and pour RV antifreeze in the grey and black tanks along with whatever water we flush down the drains.

Done tugging it about for the season....

Still lots of fun planned for Camp Driveway:
- Leftovers in the fridge need to be cooked and eaten
- Linens and towels have to be laundered and stowed
- Floors have to be swept and cleaned
- Assemble and iron out the bugs from the new gas grill
- There's a 12 item (and growing) punch list on the iPad of mods and fixes...

...before winterizing.

I'm not giving in yet. The next couple weekends are booked but I'm hoping to be able to camp into November. When were in Yellowstone in August it dipped into the 30s every night, so I'm confident we can take it.

Last weekend was our last time out. That brings the total to 32 Nights camping in 2015.

I spent last Monday blowing out the Lines, then filling with Antifreeze just for insurance.
Plan to get the wife up on the roof this evening to wash it down and I'll do the sides tomorrow then haul it around back and put the cover on. We are already looking forward to next season.

Columbus Day for us is last with full hookups. First weekend of November is our last trip of year... That one is a quasi winter camping trip.
