Leak on floor under window

I have a 280RSOK Eagle TT. Last night we had a windblown rain storm which lashed rain against the side of the TT. In the bedroom under the window, lots of water came in at the seam between the wall and the floor. Checked the window on the inside and it was dry on the top, sides and under the window. All of the water seeping was on the wall/floor level.

There was a lot of water which pooled on the floor and we soaked it up with towels. But the big questions is: where is the leak? Seems it must be on the inside of the wall. But from where: the window, the roof, outside seam?

Any ideas would be appreciated. We are on a trip so not sure what to do.

Check the side marker light for any break in the seal. It is a fairly common point of failure and water can travel very mysterious routes sometimes.

We had a similar issue - water on the floor under the window & around the slide. We had 2 issues. Check your roof, especially around the rails. Our screws were broken and even adding the sealant didn't help. Everything had to be removed, new screws and then new sealant. The other was the window - it was removed, adjusted and replaced. We have had some heavy rains and no more leaks.

We were on a trip when we first noticed the leak and put black Gorilla tape on the rail. When we returned, removed, cleaned and added the sealant. This occurred in early December while the weather was still "warm".

Good luck.

While you are looking, make sure if you have any weep holes that they are clean.

Water leak update and solution to problem

I was grateful to find Ketelsen RV in Hiawatha IA to do repairs on my Jayco Eagle HT. They provided great and timely service to fix the water leak.

They took out the exit window in the bedroom and found a hole at the bottom of the window which looked like someone had inserted a screw then took it out but never sealed the hole. Additionally, there were gaps at the top of the window frame which were probably the entry points for the water. So water ran down the sides of the window, into the hole and out under the wall at the floor. They also resealed where the spout comes out from the roof, under the awning arm and along the trim for the J wrap just to make sure these areas also did not allow water intrusion. It is raining right now and NO LEAKS!

Life is an adventure and I learn something every day we RV.
