Leaky O/S Faucet

Another question...our outside shower faucets are leaking horrible, but only when the faucets are turned on. Is this normal? We just bought a new faucet from the dealership and replaced; however, they are still leaking. We really don't want to get rid of the outside shower because we have 2 small grandsons that get awfully dirty when camping and we would like to get most of the dirt/mud off before bringing them into the TT. Anyone else have this problem and fixed it? Thank you!

Quick thought would be a loose connection or a line connection w/o a washer. Should be easy to see where the water is leaking, and thus locate your problem,

Where is it leaking? Around the handles? Where the hose connects to the base, or the handle? Or around the shower head? A little more specific info might help us diagnose the problem better, and find a solution.

Some don't turn off completely, when the faucets are on.
I think this is what's happing with yours. They leak to release the pressure
in the hose.

It is leaking from behind the plastic plate that sits behind the handles. It doesn't leak at all when the water is off, but as soon as we turn the shower on it pours out from under this plate.

Thanks for getting back w/more info. That sounds like either the water lines going into the back of the faucet are loose, or the mixing valve in the faucet itself is cracked (possibly from water inside the faucet freezing). If your trailer is still under warranty, your dealer should be able to replace the faucet for you. If not, it shouldn't be a difficult job to do yourself. First, make sure the water lines/fittings going into the faucet are tight. My Eagle has the rear kitchen, so I can access those lines through the kitchen sink base cabinet. If you can't access yours from inside your trailer, you may be able to remove the entire "box" that contains the outside shower from the outside of the trailer (haven't looked closely at mine). Once you have it out, you can check the waterline fittings for tightness, or replace the mixing valve with one from Camping World. They have them on sale right now (internet only) for $10.99. Hope this helps you out.

Fixed! Unfortunately the faucet we bought brand new from the dealership was cracked in the piece of connecting pipe between the two handles--who would of thought a brand new item was bad! we bought another and it works just fine!! thank you all for your help.

My buddy just installed a new kitchen faucet in his Rockwood TT before they joined us in Ludington last week. When he turned the faucet on, water poured from under the housing. He took it off and just like you, found the cheesy plastic manifold under the cover was cracked. He went to Home Depot and bought a Delta model with a solid brass manifold and the problem is solved.
