leaky tire

I have a tire on TT that will take about 2 weeks to go down. Took it to get fixed and tech said he could not find leak. Is it advisable to put a tube in radial tires on a TT?

I gotta think that the first thing to do is to take the leaky wheel to another tire shop. Maybe tell the second shop that another shop could not find the leak, but you knew they could because you'd heard that they were the real experts!

I would not put a tube into a radial tire. It will run hotter due to increased friction as the sidewalls flex. Why not try the fix-a-flat in a can that puts a sealant liquid into the tire to seal punctures. Also, there is a product called "slime" that is injected through the valve stem with the core removed that is supposed to prevent flats in the same way. LW

Remove the wheel. Increase the pressure about 10 psi above normal and submerge it in a tub of water. Hold it still while submerged and you should see bubbles forming. If you can't see bubbles after 5-10 minutes, flip it over and check it again.

Had the same thing happen to my new TT. Found the valve core was loose just a little. Tightened it up and all is fine. Was hard to find.
