Leaky toilet again

Thetford 31688 model toilet. I replaced the water module assembly in November 2018 & have used camper only 14 days since. Leaking on top of assembly when doing the 1/2 step refill after flushing. Water will spill over and small puddle on floor. This is why I replaced the last one which lasted 2 years. I am awaiting a reply from Thetford. I called them earlier & was told that they will sell me a valve assembly, #31705, for $39.95 plus shipping or I can buy on Amazon ( which I did last time for $22.95) or buy at an RV parts store..The lady on the phone told me that there was no recall on this product? I am reluctant to buy another one & have the same issue after a short time. Unit is a 2017 25 BH Jayfeather which is now out off warranty. Funny thing the first time it started leaking was one week after the initial warranty expired. It’s an easy fix but man what’s wrong with this product?

They (Thetford toilet water valves) are a weak point. We have replaced them multiple times on multiple toilets over the years, the last time was 2 weeks ago!
Are you using a pressure regulator when connected to City water?

I really believe that these parts are a known defect but Thetford is not stepping up to the plate on this issue. I have read many threads today on other forums with the same complaints.

Checked out the improved Amazon valve. Looks like the improvement is the plastic body that is crack resistant from ice. I wonder what would happen if I place a dab of silicone on top of the leaky spot? Vacuum needed to refill?

I replaced the water module Thetford #31705, and I wanted to add a shutoff valve to avoid flooding (if possible) in my Jayfeather 23B HTT. I was trying to replace the pex supply line to the module and realized that I ordered the wrong pex to toilet connector. This is what I ordered: SharkBite 24656A Toilet Connector Hose, 1/2 inch x 7/8 inch x 12 inch Braided Stainless Steel Water Valve Shut Off, Push-to-Connect, PEX, Copper, CPVC, PE-RT. What size connector to the module? Any help deeply appreciated!!
