Leave TV in over winter?
I tried searching for this topic, but "TV" and "winter" don't really make good search terms!
Our new 34RLOK has a 50" TV in it (I know!). Asked the dealer during PDI do we need to take it in during the winter, or leave it in the trailer. He said he leaves his, but looking for what others have done in the past.

I take out all 4 of mine and put them in my basement for the winter.
Couple of my other friends leave theirs in the trailer all winter and haven't had any issues,... yet. Lol!

I have 4 tv's and they stay out in the minus 30 degree weather, no problem

I've left mine in for years and Lake says I haven't had a problem.... Yet.

I have always left mine in, never a problem. Vacation homes here in the mountains are winterized and it can get down to -10 degrees inside, no problems. Televisions are not shipped and stored under climate-controlled conditions.

Never took them out..
You are supposed to let them get to room temp before turning them on if you decide to winter camp.

Leave it in. They ship in rail cars and they can easily experience -40 in the winter.

I have always just left mine in the RV over the winter. We get to the single digits quite often here in PA with that occasional dip down to below zero. No issues to date.
Side note, you Minnesota people can keep your minus double digit temperatures over there. We may hit -15 every couple of years here and I hate every minute of it......lol.

I have never considered anything other than leaving mine in the RV. However, I will add a thought which is true for the TVs, Radios, and other electronic components which is if they do get very cold and then you rapidly warm up the RV that I would wait a couple of hours if possible for everything to come up to temperature prior to turning any of them back on.
The reason I suggest this is that there is a slight chance that condensation could form on the cold circuit board(s) which could be damaging to the electronics if powered on at that time, and that concern would be reduced or eliminated if you waited for everything warm back up and dry out prior to turning any of your electronic items back on. ~CA

I take mine out , with most other stuff, when I winterize it berore returning it back to the storage lot. That way it is still mine come next spring.
The county I am in, and the next one over were featured on a cable tv documentary about meth maybe 10 years ago. Meth capital U.S.A. If it's not bolted down....

We leave ours in our 317RLOK - never had any issues. Just remember to remove the batteries from the remotes.

One thing that no one’s has mentioned so far is the remote. I always remove the batteries from it, and anything else that uses batteries in case they decide to get sick and “puke” during their winter’s nap.
I once worked for a company that had their office/warehouse inside a self-storage business. When I walked through the outside storage yard, it wasn’t uncommon to hear alarms in RVs chirping to have their failing batteries replaced.

I leave my 4 inside over the winter. You do not want to turn them on when they are cold. That is when the circuit boards will crack and cause issues. With that in mind I have never had a problem.

How many were swayed by the TVs in their units when buying. Friend of ours bought first TT and we’re thrilled with the 2 large TVs after their first trip the question was why couldnt we get anything on our TV what should we do. Stop laughing  told them the TVs are decor so people spend more money on units than they should.
