level and slides

Good day!

I have a 314BDS and I use a 12" level on the kitchen floor to get it level front to back and side to side. Is that the best method?

Also when the slides come out does it affect the side to side? I assume no, because once it is level, the stabalizer jacks should keep it there to let the slides out, correct?

Thanks,
Mark

I check mine with a 8 inch level at the tongue frame... if the frame is level side to side and front to back the rest should be in compliance...

I use a 4' level at the tongue, I need a shorter one but I had a 4' laying around haha. On my old camper, I relied on the levels stuck on the sides but when I checked with the frame and my 4' level they were way off. You can also tell by the way the doors are, If they are stable when you open them you are fairly level.

I have the 31 bhds and if I level the trailer then run the slides out it is no longer level. I have learned to set up with the slides a bit high then send slides out and it is very close. I used a 4' level the first time then installed bubble levels on the trailer and that is what I use now.

See this thread for some more ideas.

I now use the RV Companion app for iPhone.
I also find the slide changes level by 1/2 inch when out.
