Leveling Jacks?

Forgot to measure length of the leveling jacks when I was at my trailer. I was going to cut some 2x6's for them to rest on. Does someone happen to now the length of them or a safe length to cut some planks for them? TT is about 30 minutes away.

My HTT is in storage, I think the sand pads are about 4" x 4". I cut my 2x6's, 12 inches long. for two reasons. I can use them under the wheels if needed, and it distributes the weight over a larger area, when I am on soft soil.

My "requirement" would be related to where I was going to store them. My pads are about 4 inches on the 2017 model so I think 12" is good. But, I checked my storage area first.

#1 I hope that was a slip of the tongue and/or fingers when you wrote LEVELING jack. They are not for leveling, they are only for stablizing the trailer. You level with your wheels and tongue jack.

#2 I usually do 2x6x12 boards. That is plenty large enough so if you put it on softer ground, it makes a bigger footprint so you are less likely to bury your blocking. Also, as was mention, the blocks then become long enough to use under tires if need be.

Most TT's come with 24" stabilizing jacks. That's the max they'll stretch down.

I cut 2x6x14 and then angle the ends. Great for putting under stabilizer jacks and I can also use them as levelers under the wheels. I prefer them to the plastic ones you can buy. I use an 12x12x12 block under the jack and put a strap on one end and one side to pick it up. Works great and not heavy as used an old barn timber.

Think mine are around 8" long, maybe 10".
